TAX LIEN ACQUISITION

Brooknaum® sources distressed land opportunities through tax lien/tax deed pathways and works to convert them into development-ready assets. We evaluate risk, coordinate due diligence, and align with qualified counsel/title partners to create a clear path toward redevelopment.

Brooknaum develops smart townhome communities through a disciplined, end-to-end process—from site strategy and acquisition to planning, design coordination, and development readiness. Doug Suber is a Developer and Investor committed to building the next era of residential living through smart townhome communities. After building a successful career in corporate leadership, he transitioned into entrepreneurship to pursue a clear thesis: acquire overlooked land opportunities, reduce risk through disciplined planning, and develop technology-forward communities that serve real housing demand.

Doug’s specialized niche is tax lien-driven acquisition, where he focuses on identifying distressed property situations that may offer favorable basis and strong redevelopment potential. He pairs this sourcing advantage with real-world development fundamentals—strategic planning, financial modeling, and operational execution—to guide projects from acquisition toward development readiness.

With 15+ years of experience leading in high-paced environments across management, finance, real estate, and operations, Doug is positioned to lead developments like English IVY, a smart townhome community concept aligned with workforce housing needs.

Doug holds a B.B.A. in Business Administration (Finance & Investments) from Baruch College’s Zicklin School of Business and is a past member of CCIM.
